Master Technology Innovator logo The Master Technology Innovator (MTI) is a program aimed to form a group of volunteers that can assist with technology outreach at community anchor institutions. Volunteers are expected to complete at least 20 hours in no more than 6 months and will receive a Mississippi State University Extension Service certificate if all requirements are met.

Steps to becoming a Master Technology Innovator

  1. Complete registration form.
  2. Enroll and pass an online exam with at least an 80. Any resources, including search engines, can be used while taking the online exam. Further instructions on the online examination will be provided via email once the registration form is complete. You can retake the test one time.
  3. If accepted, you will be matched with a community anchor institution (public library, WIN job center, etc.) in your community.
  4. You will be expected to report each of your volunteering sessions using an online reporting form.
  5. You will also need to complete an end-of-program assessment online (see links above).
  6. If you want to, you can apply again for another 20 hours!
