Training Course Book
In order to provide effective, efficient, and timely technology outreach, the Center has identified the following audiences to whom we offer technology-related training. Please check the calendar to find trainings in your area. If you want to request a training or program, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact your local Extension office.
Extension personnel: The Center offers multiple technology-related programs in order to improve the ability of agents and faculty to provide programming in technology in addition to enhancing their professional skills.
4-H’ers: In order to increase interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among Mississippi youth, programs are offered to the 4-H youth leadership program within extension. A popular and successful program used to achieve this is the PAVE robotics program.
Small Businesses: E-Commerce related programs are offered in an effort to help small businesses take advantage of technology to reduce costs and increase productivity. For a list of e-Commerce resources available please click here .
Local Government: Computer training is provided by Center faculty to county and municipal government employees as well as city clerks in partnership with the Extension Center for Government and Community Development. In addition, the Center hosts a number of websites for local government associations.
General Public: Relying on the distance education network as well as valuable partners such as the Mississippi Library Commission and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security to name a few, the Center offers trainings in topics ranging from iPad basics to genealogical research online to cyberbullying and Internet security.
